Bird Watching at Jack & Pauline’s

WHEN JACK AND PAULINE PARK planted willow last year, they found comfort in the idea of a cash crop for a span of more than twenty years, as well as doing something eco-friendly.

Now that their willow has grown taller, they have another crop—birds! “Barn owls, buzzards, kestrel, wood pigeon, chaffinch, yellow hammers, woodcocks, snipes, pheasant, jays and counting,” confirms Jack about their bird sitings. Adds Jack, “We have a new retirement activity right beside our home. Birds love nesting, hiding and hunting in our willow plantation. And we have the joy of taking walks just to see what’s out there on a given day. Imagine, we’re earning money watching birds thrive.”
